CNP Winter Preview

With 2022 upon us, we could not be more excited to continue to engage the #CNPTribe around our programs, events, and stories to shift narratives, elevate the voices of our community, and build power. We also wanted to offer you a preview of just a few programs and projects we have in store. Your support means so much to us, and we look forward to continuing to be in community with you all.

#1 Black Queer Love Stories in The Reckoning

CNP believes in the power of Black queer love and we use our platforms to affirm, celebrate, and elevate all types of Black Queer Love stories. We are going to share some of those stories on The Reckoning in December, so be on the lookout for a project we are really excited about.

#2 CNP Media Roundtable

Narrative change is an important part of the work of CNP. We recognize that narrative change is critical to social change, and the role of writers, storytellers, and journalists is critical to that endeavor. Join us on November 30th at 7 pm ET to hear from some Atlanta writers sharing their work that has challenged HIV stigma. Register here.

#3 CNP Law Student Fellowship Launch

This February, CNP will announce a new Fellowship that we are launching for law students. CNP is specifically interested in engaging Black law students around HIV decriminalization advocacy.

#4 National Black HIV Awareness Day

Since we were founded in 2014, CNP has continued to recognize National Black HIV Awareness Day through the lens of arts and culture and collective memory. We will continue that tradition this February 7th, so be on the lookout.

CNP is an organization that stands in the tradition of Bayard Rustin, James Baldwin, Essex Hemphill, and other movement leaders, artists, organizers and visionaries committed to countering narratives and speaking truth to power.
